WOOSTER – William J. ABBOTT, 89, of Wooster, passed away Friday, January 21, 2011 in Glendora Health Care Center.
He was born June 22, 1921 in Coudersport, PA, son of William B. and Flossie Ostrander Abbott.
He had been a truck driver for Halliburton and Ports Petroleum Co.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Jane Miller Abbott, whom he married July 2, 1943; his children Curt (Sally) Abbott and Craig Abbott both of Wooster, Mark(Sherri) Abbott of Springfield, Ohio, Mari L. Moore of Monroe, Mich; 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; sister, Donna (Sam) Long both of Coudersport, Pa.
William was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Ronald and Richard Abbott and sisters June Corey and Beatrice Orlowski.
There will be no calling hours or services.
McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
