WOOSTER – Coesta A. HOHENSHIL, 88, of Wooster, passed away Monday, January 24, 2011 in Smithville Western Care Center.
She was born September 27, 1922 in Holmesville, the daughter of Wilbur and Mabel Kauffman Ross. She was married to Harry Batdorf on January 3, 1939 and to Richard Hohenshil on December 2, 1963.
Surviving are her children, Karen (Bill) Fought of Shreve, Larry (Sandy) Batdorf of Seville, Ronald (Thelma) Batdorf of Mansfield and James (Connie) Batdorf of Wooster; grandchildren, Randy Fought, Robin (Rod) Smucker, Lisa (Jesse) Godare, Scott, Tim and Aaron Batdorf, Steve Batdorf, Brian, Robert and Bradley Batdorf and step-granddaughters Mollie Kardas and Mandy (Clint) Pittman along with numerous great-grandchildren.
Coesta was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Richard Hohenshil on March 21, 1996, a sister Avis Budrow and brothers Harold and Robert Ross and a grandson Douglas Batdorf.
Per Coesta’s request, there will be no calling hours or services. She has been cremated. Burial will be in the New Pittsburg Cemetery at a later date.
