Libby Abramson Grasgreen of Wooster passed away February 12, 2011 at West View Manor Nursing Home.
She was born March 3, 1929 in Wooster, Ohio the daughter of Sam and Bessie Brenner Abramson. She attended kindergarten through high school in the Wooster public school system. She then went on to Ohio University and graduated with a Bachelor?s Degree in education. From there she headed to Florida to teach elementary school for a year. She wanted to return north and ended up in Cleveland , Ohio. She entered the retail buying program at Sterling Linder Davis Department store. She became their Millenary buyer and then went on to buy junior clothing.
It was in Cleveland where she met Sheldon Grasgreen on a blind date. He sold shoes and hats. They were married July 14, 1957. After a brief stay in Cincinnati and Cleveland they returned to Wooster to raise their two daughters. Libby returned to substitute teaching and then worked at Mollie Miller.
She was a lifetime member of the Wooster Community Auxiliary, Wooster Women?s League , and Knesseth Israel Temple. She worked the polls during every election at Edgewood Middle School for many years. She and Shelly were also very active in the Arthritis Foundation where she chaired many functions.
She was preceded in death by her husband Shelly this past June. She is survived by two daughters: Amy (Matt) Potter of Boynton Beach Florida and Tracey (Jack Hummer) Grasgreen of Willoughby Ohio. A grandson Sam of Willoughby Ohio. Her brother Edwin (Carolyn) Abramson of Wooster.
Graveside services will be held at Wooster Cemetery 11:30 A.M. Tuesday Feb. 15, 2011 with Beth Friedman ? Romell officiating. There will be no calling hours.

Graveside Services will be held Tuesday Feb. 15, 2011 in Wooster Cemetery at 11:30 A.M.

Visitation
There will be no calling hours.
