WOOSTER – Donna J. THOMPSON, 80, of Wooster, passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2011 in Wooster Community Hospital
She was born October 25, 1930 in Wooster, the daughter of Clayton E.and Bessie Ferne Cramer Heckman.
She had worked for the City of Wooster as a crossing guard and had worked at the former Central Trust in the bookkeeping dept. for 10 years. She was a member of the Trinity United Church and was a volunteer with numerous groups. She was a member of Heart to Heart and the Disabled Citizens.
Surviving are her children, Lee Ann (Michael) Mooney of Ashland, Janet (Clifford) Brumbaugh of Cygnet, Ohio, David K. (Pamela Allen) Thompson of Wooster, grandchildren, Megan B. Thompson, Katelyn and Jeremy Mooney and a brother, Robert Heckman of Wooster.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Floyd E. Thompson, in 1996 whom she married June 20, 1954, a brother, Raymond C. Heckman and a sister, Doris Eileen Heckman.
Friends will be received 2 hours prior to the 11:00 a.m. service at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Saturday, February 19, 2011 with the Rev. Dr. Kevan Franklin officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Shreve.
