WOOSTER – Elsie S LAWRENCE, 93, of Wooster, passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2011 in Wooster Community Hospital.
She was born March 28, 1917 in North Lawrence, the daughter of Henry and Anna Hooley Brenner.
She had been a bookkeeper and salesperson for various businesses in the Wooster area, was a 72 year member of the Wooster United Methodist Church, was a co-founder of the Parkinson’s Support Group and was a past matron of the Order of Eastern Star.
Surviving are a son, Jack (Kim) Lawrence of Cranford, New Jersey and an ?adopted? daughter, Dorean (James) Ivino of Wooster, sisters, Esther Steiner of Richfield, Dorothy Beetham of Findlay and Evelyn Forrer of Dalton.
Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John C. Lawrence, in 1998 whom she married January 1, 1938 and a brother, Glenn Brenner.
Friends will be received 1 hour prior to the 2:00 p.m. service on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster with the Rev. Larry Black officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant View Cemetery, North Lawrence.
