WOOSTER – Dorothy A NUCKOLS, 70, of Wooster, went to see the Lord on Thursday, March 31, 2011 in her home following a brief illness.
She was born May 17, 1940 in Nashville, the daughter of John and Ruth Hall Smith Kinney. She married Lawrence T. Smith in 1957. He died in 1966. Shen then married Leonard Nuckols on June 30, 1972. He survives.
She was a homemaker and had worked at Regal Ware until its closing and then at Goodwill Factory for many years retiring in 2008.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, William Bill Smith and a daughter, Kimberly A Nuckols both of Wooster, 4 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; her siblings Charles Bob and Denny Smith of Wooster, John Smith of Glenmont, Beulah Mike of Big Prairie, Patricia (Frank) Riggle of Strasburg, Karen Stough of Wooster and Alyce (David) Garnes of Nashville; many nieces and nephews and cousins; a very special caregiver, Holly Patrick. Also many adopted children and grandchildren.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, a son, David Smith, sisters, Virginia and Ruthie Smith and a niece Debe McVay.
There will be no calling hours or services.
McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
