WOOSTER – David E MOSLEY, 90, of Wooster, passed away Monday, April 4, 2011 in Wooster Community Hospital.
He was born November 10, 1920 in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of Edward and Wilda Hall Mosley. He married Ruth Anne Bartchy on August 25, 1945. She died December 29, 1996.
He had worked in Sales and Marketing at Akron Brass Co. retiring in 1980. He was a former member of Kiwanis, had served on Wooster City Council, was a member of the Isaac Walton League and served on the Board of Directors of Ida Sue School. David enjoyed running, hiking with his family, backpacking, soccer, baseball, played football and boxed for Hiram College, ran track in high school, liked painting and sculpting. He served his country during WWII with the U.S. Army in Rhineland Central Europe.
Surviving are his children Cathy (Tim) Miklasiewicz of Plain City, Kurt (Anne Hoffman) Mosley of Tuscon, Arizona and Jay (Michele) Mosley of Wooster; grandchildren, Rachel (Andy) Devine of Edmunds, Washington, Jason (Rachel) Murray of Wooster, Brendan Mosley of San Francisco, Bryson Mosley of Swansea, Wales, Autumn Mosley and Bode Mosley both of Tuscon, Arizona; great-grandchildren Liam and Olivia Murray of Wooster.
In addition to his wife, David was preceded by his parents.
A Memorial Service will be held at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St. on Thursday, April 7, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Paul Lintern officiating. Interment will be in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery on Thursday at 11:30 a.m.
The family will receive friends following the service.
