WOOSTER – Janice H BUEHLER, 87, of Wooster, OH, passed away Monday, April 4, 2011 in Smithville Western Care Center.
She was born August 21, 1923 in Ambrose, North Dakota, the daughter of John T. and Olive Schultz Nelson.
She was a graduate of the University of North Dakota and had been a registered nurse at Wooster Community Hospital for 35 years. Janice was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ, was on the Ohio Board of Nursing and was a member of all state and local nursing organizations. She was an avid golfer and loved knitting. Janice served her country during WWII as an Army Nurse..
Surviving are a son, John (Cathy) Buehler and a daughter, Connie (Bill) Hofer both of Wooster, 4 grandchildren, Chad Buehler of Wooster, Bonnie Hofer of Seattle, Washington, Bruce (Gretchen) Hofer of Columbus and Michael Hofer; 7 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandson, and a dear Friend Jane Vanderhill of Wooster.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents.
Graveside Services will be held at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery on Monday, April 11, 2011, at 2:30 p.m.
A gathering of family and friends will be will be held on Sunday April 10, 2011 from 2-4:00 p.m. at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster, OH 44691.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Greater Wayne Co., 2525 Back Orrville Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
