WOOSTER – Ruth F. GOODSPEED, 91, of Orrville, passed away Friday, May 20, 2011 in Glendora Health Care Center.
She was born November 7, 1919 in Wooster, the daughter of John B. and Mary Gearard Flickinger.
She retired from the U.S. Government as an analyst. Ruth was a member of the Overton Church of God and had served her country with the U.S. Navy..
Surviving are brothers, John R. Flickinger of Loudonville, Paul Richard Flickinger of St. Charles, Missouri, Roger Dean Flickinger of Florida, a sister, Irene Seckman of Decatur, Georgia and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Melvin A. Goodspeed, Jr. in 1995 and a sister Helen Stout.
Friends will be received 2 hours prior to the 11:30 a.m. service at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 with Pastor Chuck Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the Overton Cemetery.
