Forest W. Bill Dean, Jr., 91, of Wooster, died Saturday May 28, 2011 at his home.
He was born December 30, 1919 in Wooster, son of the late Forest W. Sr. and Vernon Lee Stone Dean.
Bill was a chemist with the former Koppers Co. in Orrville for 40 year. He served his country in the U.S. Navy and was stationed in the Philippines Bill was a graduate of Dennison University, a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Orrville American Legion.
Surviving are wife, Viola Brewer Dean of Wooster, whom he married in 1995 in Bristol, New Brunswick, Canada, a step-daughter, Elaine White of Bristol, New Brunswick, Canada; step grandson, Michael White, 3 step great grandchildren; a brother, Dr. Donald Dean of Santa Rosa, CA, along with several nieces and nephews
Along with his parents, Bill was preceded in death by a brother, Hal Dean.
Funeral services will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 621 College Avenue, Wooster on Wednesday June 1 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Dr. Jeff Paschal and Rev. James Watt officiating. Interment will follow in the Wooster Cemetery
Friends will be received at the church from 9:00 a.m until the time of service.
McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill Street, Wooster is assisting the family.
