WOOSTER – Jeffery William MICHELS, 42, of Wooster passed away Sunday, June 12, 2011 in Akron City Hospital.
He was born March 17, 1969 in Geneseo, IL, son of Norman C and Patricia A Gores Michels.
He had been a Registered Nurse and the Nursing Supervisor of D Wing at West View Manor Nursing Home. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, was an avid fisherman, loved music and played the guitar and was an avid euchre player. His children were his life.
Surviving are his mother of Wooster, a daughter, Larissa Purdy of San Bernardino, CA, sons, Nicholas Norman and Issac William Michels both of Wooster; sisters, Lori Ann Michels of Hamden, CT and Kelli Marie Michels of Tallahassee, FL.
Jeffery was preceded in death by his father on May 20, 2009.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St.,, Wooster on Thursday evening June 16, 2011 from 5-8:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 17, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Christopher Trenta as the celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
