WOOSTER – John Wayne MYERS, 67, of Wooster, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2011 in Wooster Community Hospital.
He was born April 5, 1944 in Massillon, the son of John W and Vera Lucille Hawk Myers.
He had worked in food service and housekeeping at the Apple Creek Developmental Center. Served his country with the U.S. Army during the VietNam War.
Surviving are his wife, Linda Myers, a son, John (Angela) Myers of Orange Park, FL, grandchildren Elyse and Olivia, a sister, Joy Sue Robeson of Texas and a brother Larry Myers of Navarre.
John was preceded in death by his parents.
A committal service will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.
McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
