LAKEVILLE – Ross Albert Babb, 85, of Lakeville, died Saturday June 25, 2011at his home.
He was born May 27, 1926 in Akron, son of the late Roy Leslie and Fern Rowe Babb.
Ross served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army and received The Presidential Unit Citation (Army) for Extraordinary Heroism to the 2nd Battalion, 253 Infantry Regiment.
Ross worked maintenance at Rubbermaid and was a jack of all trades outside of Rubbermaid
He was a member of the Killbuck V.F.W. Post 7079
Ross is survived by his wife, Norma Jean McComas Babb, whom he married May 29, 1948; children Carol Jean Babb, F. Steven (Deborah) Babb both of Lakeville, Ross Albert (Darby) Babb Jr., Russell Lee (Rebecca) Babb both of Shreve; grandchildren Steven Paul Babb, Jason Babb of Wooster, Tonya Babb all of Wooster; great grandson, Calvin Paul Babb and a brother, Roger Babb of Tucson, AZ.
Along with his parents, Ross was preceded in death by a brother Rex Babb, and a sister Donna Fouch.
Private family services will be held. Inurnment will be in Newkirk Cemetery.
