WOOSTER ? Ralph Dwight McKee passed away Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Akron City Hospital after complications from falling.
He wished to be cremated and to be joined with his wife when she passes. Burial would be at that time as they both wished.
Born to Ralph Cloy and Rhea M. Humrichouser McKee on June 16, 1929 at the home farm on McKee Road, Wooster, Ohio. He graduated from Shreve High School in 1947. On April 15, 1951 he married Yvonne N. ?Bonnie? Smith. She survives. He worked at Rubbermaid for 38 years in labor, supervision and quality control and retired in 1990.
Dwight lived on the family farm all of his life, building a home down the road from where he was born. All three of his children have their homes on the farm also. He was a past 4-H advisor in the Jr. Horse Division and enjoyed keeping in touch with that department for many years later. Watching his children and grandchildren show their horses was a great joy to him. Talking with friends or strangers, riding his Goldwing, or taking care of his home, farm, and family was what he enjoyed.
Besides his wife, Bonnie, he is survived by a son Randy and spouse Debra McKee, two daughters, Vicki and spouse David Mandley and Sherry and spouse Bill Napier all of Wooster. The grandchildren are Cass (Darren) Dawson, Cortney and Morgan Mandley, Cody Napier and Fiancee Chelsea Ogden and Brandy Napier. There are two step-granddaughters, Corrie Minner and fianc? Rob Cunningham and Lori Minner. There are two great-granddaughters, Megan and Maddy Dawson and two step-great-grandchildren, Kasey and Jessica Ross. Many close cousins and nieces and nephews are also living.
Deceased are his parents and a brother-in-law, Edward Swartz and sister-in-law Helen Swartz and other family members.
A Celebration of his life is planned for Friday, August 12, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster. Anyone with memories they want to share at that time are welcome to do so. We would love to hear them and so would he.
