WOOSTER ? Christopher S. Massaro, 59 of Wooster passed away Thursday, July 21, 2011 in Wooster Community Hospital.
He was born July 14, 1952 in Wooster, the son of Donald E. and Lillian Moretti Massaro. He married Connie Cline on May 21, 1983. She survives.
He retired in 2005 as Maintenance Supervisor at Rubbermaid after 34 years of service. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and a past president of Lamplighter?s. Chris enjoyed playing softball, golf, cards, and was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his mother of Wooster, his children Eric Massaro of Huntington Beach, California and Jessica Massaro of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his siblings Michael (Rosemarie) Massaro, James Massaro and Charles Massaro all of Wooster and Judy (Frank) Lang of Marietta. Several nieces and nephews also survive
He was preceded in death by his father.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Monday evening, July 25, 2011 from 5-8:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Mary Catholic Church, 527 Beall Ave., Wooster with the Rev. Stephen Moran as the celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
