WOOSTER – Kay Ann MYERS, 73, of Wooster, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2011 in her home.
She was born August 12, 1937 in Dover, Ohio, daughter of Arden and Edith Barcus Cotterman. She married Darrell Myers on May 12, 1962. He survives.
She had been a teacher and coordinator of the LPN program at the Wayne Co. Career Center retiring in 1995. She was an active member of the East Chippewa Church of the Brethren, had been a member of Quota Club and an advisor of VICA at the local and state level. Kay enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and reading..
Surviving in addition to her husband are her children Rob (Michelle) Gonser of Green, Kevin (Camille DeGannon) Myers of Chico, California and Kim (Shawn) Warden of Wooster; grandchildren, Becky Gonser, Joe Gonser, Hayley Warden and Gabriel Warden and a twin sister, Donna (Dave) Studer of Apple Valley.
Kay was preceded in death by her parents
Friends will be received at the at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Friday evening, July 29, 2011 from 6-8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
Services will be held at the East Chippewa Church of the Brethren on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev’s Brad Kelley and Delbert Kettering officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
