Richard A ROBERTSON, 82, of Wooster, went to be with the Lord on Sunday August 7, 2011.
He was born June 29, 1929 in Wheeling, WV, to Charles and Laura Robertson.
He married Mary E. Pinion on May 18, 1957.
In addition to his wife, Richard is survived by his son, John (Tina) Robertson, grandchildren Jonathon (Beth) Robertson, Kelly Robertson and her fianc? Jeremy Moore, a sister Dorothy (Ralph) Henderson and numerous extended family.
Richard graduated from West Liberty College and then went on to work at Goodyear Aerospace for 36 years. He served his country in the U.S. Army.
Throughout his life Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming and collecting antiques. He also enjoyed watching his grandchildren in their sporting events and other school activities. He attended Central Christian Church in Wooster.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Charles.
Richard was devoted to his family and will be greatly missed.
There will be no calling hours with private family services held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. If desired, family and friends may make a donation to Hospice and Palliative Care of Greater Wayne County, 2525 Back Orrville Road, Wooster, OH, 44691, in Richard’s memory. The family would like to thank the staff at West View Manor Bridges for all the love and care shown to Richard during his stay.
McIntire, Davis and Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
