Patricia R HUGHES, 87, of Wooster, died Wednesday August 10, 2011 at Wayne County Care Center.
She was born April 16, 1924 in Shreve, daughter of the late Paul Pat and Iris Miller Burnett.
Patricia was a homemaker and had worked in the cafeteria for Triway Schools. She also owned and operated Hughes’ Restaurant in Shreve. She was a member of Shreve Christian Church and had played fast pitch softball for Shreve Women’s Fast pitch in the early 50’s. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
Patricia is survived by her husband, William J. Hughes, whom she married August 18, 1946, of Wooster; children Jackie (Ed) Salisberry of Wooster, Brett (Paula) Hughes of Shreve and Jerry (Tina) Hughes of Reno, NV; grandchildren Jason Hughes, Heather Bray, Adam Salisberry, Jana Clancey, Jed Hughes and Josiah Hughes; great grandchildren Kaden Salisberry, Will Clancey, Darby Clancey and Lydia Bray.
Along with her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by a grandson, Luke Hughes and a sister, Zoeanne Carmichael.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday August 18, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Oak Grove Cemetery in Shreve with Rev. Priscilla Jackson officiating.
There will be no calling hours
