BELMONT – Sharon A MITCHELL, 63, of Belmont, Ohio, passed away Friday, August 26, 2011 in Wheeling Hospital in Wheeling, West Virginia.
She was born May 28, 1948 in Wooster, the daughter of Richard F and Betty M Seigley Sachariat. She married Ben E Mitchell, Jr. on July 26, 1968. He survives.
Sharon was a graduate of Waynedale High School, a homemaker and had worked at Rubbermaid and Bishops. She was a member of the United Church of Christ in Apple Creek. Sharon enjoyed fishing, hunting (deer with a bow), gardening and canning. She also loved to read. She was a former resident of Apple Creek before moving to Centerville, Belmont, Ohio..
Surviving in addition to her husband are her children Kimberly King and Scott Mitchell, grandchildren, Nathan & Olivia Mitchell and Cori King; sisters, Betty (Jerry) Neff of North Carolina and Sue Sachariat of Florida, brothers, Richard (Valerie) Sachariat of North Carolina and Fred Sachariat of Apple Creek, 9 nieces and nephews, 11 grand nieces and nephews and a sister-in-law Kathryn Mitchell of Wooster.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew.
Family graveside services were held at the Apple Creek Cemetery on Monday, August 29, 2011 with the Rev. Candace Thomas officiating.
McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster assisted the family.
