WOOSTER – Ethel Mae KASER, 102, of Wooster, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2011 in her home.
She was born June 10, 1909 in Wooster, the daughter of Henry and Lillian Oberdusky Leiner. She married Gernard E. Kaser on November 23, 1932. He died January 18, 1978.
She was a graduate of Wooster High School and had been a teller at the former Citizens Bank and Bank One for 50 years retiring in 1994. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church and was very active with the Wooster Community Center and enjoyed playing cards..
Surviving are daughters, Sally Schofield of San Diego, California and Susan E. Work of Cygnet, Ohio; grandchildren, Bonnie Diaz, Brad Slabaugh, Kim Dutt and Chad Work, 3 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren and a sister, Margaret Boardner of Wooster.
In addition to her husband, Ethel was preceded by her parents.
Friends will be received 1 hour prior to the 11:00 a.m. service on Thursday, September 1, 2011 at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster with the Rev. Kevin Phipps officiating. Interment will follow in the Wooster Cemetery.
