BURBANK – William O WEISER, 81, of Burbank, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2011 in Wooster Community Hospital.
He was born May 21, 1930 in Wooster, the son of John O. and Flora Fittler Weiser. He married Evelyn Shaver on August 4, 1951. She survives.
He was a truck driver and had farmed from 1964-1989. He was a member of the Plain Lutheran Church, American Legion Post 147 and a former member of the Wooster Horse Shoe Club. He enjoyed golfing, reading, mushroom hunting, watching sports, pitching horse shoes and working hard. Served his country with the US Air Force during the Korean War.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, Stephen (Rita) Weiser and Dave (Belinda) Weiser both of Wooster, Sharon (Paul) Gray of Millersburg and Keith (Anne) Weiser of Orrville, 12 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, brothers, Forest Weiser of W. Salem and Clifford (Joyce) Weiser of Lebanon, Tennessee and a sister, Jeanette Tennant of Wooster.
William was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Margaret Leitch and Carolyn Hughes and brothers, Richard, Earl, & Gary Weiser.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Friday, September 2, 2011 from 5-8:00 p.m.
Services will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday, September 3, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Robert Moskowitz officiating. Interment will follow in the Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
