WOOSTER – Barbara Ellen FIGLEY, 88, of Wooster, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2011 Shady Lawn Nursing Home.
She was born March 8, 1923 in Moreland, the daughter of Clark and Ida Sherick Franks. She married Marion M. Figley on January 6, 1945. He survives.
She had worked for 20 years in the kitchen at the Apple Creek Developmental Center, had worked for US Steel Fabricators and the Wooster Egg Auction. She was a member of the Moreland United Methodist Church..
Surviving in addition to her husband are her children Dennis Lee (Rena) Figley, Diane (Steve) Zollars and James (Shirley) Figley all of Wooster; 4 grandsons, 9 great-grandchildren, a brother, Paul Franks of Wooster and several nieces and nephews.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Dayle Neil.
Friends will be received at the Moreland United Methodist Church, 138 E. Moreland Road, Wooster on Sunday, September 25, 2011 from 1-3:00 p.m. with a service to follow with the Rev. Tom Fish officiating. Interment will be in the Moreland Cemetery.
McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
