WOOSTER – Edith L. Lisle finalized her walk on this earth surrounded and papered by those that considered her mother, mama and grandmother at Glendora Nursing Home.
She was born in Holmes County to Harvey Jacob and Susanna Kandel Weaver She married her soul mate, Dean (Red) Lisle in 1958 and re-joins him in their heavenly home.
She was a member of Wooster Mennonite Church and well known for her wool rug making, flower gardens and arrangements and wonderful baked goodies.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Dan Valentine of Hampstead, North Carolina; daughter, Joyce Sigler of Wooster, Ohio; son, Mark Lisle of Hampstead, North Carolina; grandchildren, Josh Sigler and April Azouz of Houston, Texas, Jacob Sigler and Kelly Colich of Oxnard, California, Brandi Valentine of Hampstead, North Carolina, Dylan Lisle and Chelsea Davis of Wooster, Ohio; sister, Dorothy Lisle of Killbuck, Ohio, sister-in-law, Donna Humrichouser of Wooster, Ohio; sister-in-law, Viola Weaver of Carmel, Indiana, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Orus and Elmer Weaver, sisters, Katie Miller and Mabel Bunting, a nephew, Drew Weaver and a great-nephew, Jon Teuscher, Jr.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Greater Wayne Co., 2525 Back Orrville Rd., Wooster, OH 44691; Wooster Mennonite Church Memorial Fund, 1563 Beall Avenue, Wooster, OH 44691 or return love donations to the needy and homeless in your local area.
A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Wooster Mennonite Church from 2-5:00 p.m.
McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
