William ( Bill) Franklin Campbell, 71, of Wooster, OH, went to Heaven to be with our Lord and his family members November 11, 2011.
He was born September 19, 1940 in Damascus, VA, son of George and Alice McCloud Campbell. his family later moved to Ohio and made Wooster their home.
He was married to Kathy Dean ( Geiselman) Campbell for the past 46 years. Bill was a loving and devoted husband, son, brother, father, grandfather and friend. He was always there when you needed him and often put others first before himself. He often sacrificed in order to help others.
In the late 1970’s Bill opened Campbell’s Body Shop on Madison Hill and continued to operate it until his passing. He worked hard and never missed a day of work. Bill was always honest and helpful to his customers. The family would like to thank all that patronized Bill’s body shop over the years. Bill was also known for having a love for restoring and collecting old cars. He participated in car shows and parades. He loved old Studebakers pickups, Oldsmobile, Pontiac and Ford coupes. In the 70’s and 80’s Bill was known all over Wooster for his fancy and fast hot rods….that may have gotten him into trouble a few times. Bill found it hard to pass up a good Sheriff’s auction, flea market or garage sales. He was always looking for a deal.
Bill will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him, but have been left with wonderful times and memories of him. He will also be missed by devoted friend Karen Stough and will be deeply missed by his wife Kathy. His dog Bruno will be sad and lost without him.
