Thelma M. Gordon, 94, of Wooster died Saturday November 12, 2011 at Wooster Community Hospital.
She was born February 13, 1917 in Shreve, daughter of the late George and Goldie DeMiller Denny.
Thelma worked for Rubbermaid and was a member of the VFW Auxiliary.
Thelma is survived by her daughter Carol Barkey of Wooster, grandchildren Steve Denny and Lisa Jacobsen; great grandchildren Adrian Miller, Aubrey Barkey, Shana Shultz, Brandon Shultz, Jaren Barkey and Angelica Langford; great great grandchildren Peyton, Max, Brianna, Olivia and Allison.
Along with her parents, Thelma was preceded in death by her husbands Myron Kreiter and Bud L. Gordon, a brother Glen Denny who was killed in action during World War II, and a grandson Michael Barkey.
A Service of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday November 16, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at McIntire, Davis and Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Shreve.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12:00 Noon until the time of service.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Greater Wayne County, 2525 Back Orrville Rd, Wooster, OH 44691.
