Marjorie L. Parris , 88 of Dalton, formerly of New Philadelphia died Saturday November 19, 2011 in Shady Lawn Nursing Home.
Graveside Services will be held 10:00 A.M. Tuesday November 22, 2011 at Ridgecrest Memory Garden 1926 Saltwell Rd. NW Dover, Ohio 44622 with Pastor Jeffrey Parris officiating. A gathering of friends will be held at the Church of the Cross United Methodist Church 5100 Cleveland Rd. Wooster, Ohio 44691 from Noon until 2pm. on Tuesday.
She was born July 16, 1923 in New Philadelphia, Ohio the daughter of Carl W. and Gertrude Glass Ripple. On Aug. 7, 1941 she married William P. Parris who preceded her in death on Dec. 14, 2009.
Marjorie retired as a purchasing agent from General Electric. She was a member of the South Broadway United Methodist Church and liked to crochet, knit and travel to Florida..
Surviving are 2 sons; Fred (Patsy) Parris of New Philadelphia and James (Susan) Parris of Wooster. 11 grandchildren, 17, great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and siblings; Robert Ripple and Lucille Fox.
