ORRVILLE ? Dominic V. ?Jim? Rodi, 89, of Orrville died Sunday, November 20, 2011 in his home.
He was born June 22, 1922 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Alex and Mary (Carafelli) Rodi.
He was the owner of J & B Auto Repair Shop in Dalton. He was a member of the East Union Lutheran Church and had served his country with the US Army during WWII in Normandy, France and Rhineland. Dominic was a member of the National Rifle Association and he loved railroads.
He is survived by his children Robert (Judy) Rodi of Lima, Donna (Terry) Hart of Wooster, William Rodi of Napoleon, Ohio, Diana ?Dee? (Kerry) Barbera of Dalton; 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; sisters Josephine Howey and Louise Calame and Chet Divito all of Wooster.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Naomi Odenkirk Rodi, on October 7, 1990, sisters Mary Bucklew, Pangy Rodi and Pauline Henroth.
Friends will be received on Tuesday evening, November 22, 2011 from 6-8:00 p.m. at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.
Services will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Moskowitz officiating. Burial will be in the Apple Creek Cemetery.
