WOOSTER – Thomas L. Uhl , of Wooster, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, Thursday December 1, 2011 at Wooster Community Hospital following a brief illness.
Tom was born February 3, 1934 the son of Elmer and Margaret (Cummings)Uhl in Millersburg, Ohio and was a 1952 graduate of Millersburg High School.
He was united in marriage to Anne Shamp on March 30, 1957. Anne preceded him in death October 11, 1993.
Tom leaves behind his daughters and sons-in-law; Cynthia & David Benson of Aurora and Jane &Tony DalPra of Wooster; grandchildren Chelsea DalPra, Hailey DalPra, Ian Benson, Cameron DalPra and Nathaniel Benson; brother and sister-in-law Mike and Gwen Uhl; beloved friend, Virginia Widdows; brother-in-law Douglas Shamp; extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Trinity United Church of Christ in Wooster followed by a gathering for family and friends in the church?s activity hall. Private internment of cremains will take place at a later date.
McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
