WOOSTER – James Edward LEGGETT, 58, of Wooster, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2011 in his home..
He was born February 17, 1953 in Wooster, the son of John and Evelyn L Derr Leggett.
He had worked for Friendly Wholesale, Citgo, Convenient, Justice Center and the Daily Record. Served his country with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Coin Association.
Surviving are wife, Rita Smith Leggett to whom he had been married 31 years; his children Traci (Jim) Poulson of Shreve, Randy (Sharon) Flinn-Johnson and Jennifer (Tom) Norman both of Wooster; grandchildren, Nate Yoder, Amber Johnson, Joshua Moretti, Emily Poulson, Casey Johnson, Courtney Moretti, Bree Flinn-Johnson and Riley Norman; great-grandchild, Bentley Johnson; sisters, Jane A Leggett and Debbie (Paul) Drennen both of Wooster.
James was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Michael E. in 2006.
Friends will be received on Friday evening from 6-8:00 p.m. at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, December 24, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Kevin Phipps officiating. Inurnment will be Monday, December 26, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.
Contributions may be made to the Funeral Home to help defray expenses or to Hospice & Palliative Care of Greater Wayne Co.
