WOOSTER – Martha W WALTZ, 97, of Wooster died January 8, 2012 in Brookdale Place.
She was born April 21, 1914 in Canton, the daughter of George H and Martha Beck Walker. She married Donald Waltz on June 17, 1939. He died in 1980.
Martha was a homemaker. She was a graduate of Dennison University and was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Wooster, She had volunteered for many years in the gift shop at Wooster Community Hospital.
Surviving are children, Jane (Robert) Moore and David Waltz both of Wooster, five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a cousin Mary J. Walker of Ocean City, NJ.
A private graveside service and interment of cremains will be held in the spring at Rose Hill Burial Park in Akron followed by a family celebration of her life.
Arrangements are being handled by the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home.
Martha’s family wishes to thank the staff of Brookdale Place of Wooster (formerly Sunrise Assisted Living) for their competent and compassionate care during the final years of her life.
