PICKERINGTON – Mary E. MATZ, 94, of Pickerington, and formerly of Wooster, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2012 in her home.
She was born July 26, 1917 in Belmont, Ohio, the daughter of Samuel Bruce and Minnie Sutton Crozier. She was married to George Matz. He died June 9, 1964.
She was the owner and operator of Matz and Son Decorating Center and a former member of the Zion Lutheran Church. She had been a member of the Union Grange, Wayne Housekeepers Club and the Izaak Walton League..
Surviving are her children, Sharon (Mike) Black of Pickerington, Kaye Parsons of Macedonia and Dean (Sue) Matz of West Chester; 6 Grandchildren, 6 Great-Grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Mary was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Bill Crozier.
Friends will be received at the Zion Lutheran Church, 301 N. Market St., Wooster one hour prior to the 12 Noon service on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 with the Rev. Kenneth Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in the Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Wooster.
