Rena A. deVaudreuil, 78, of Wooster died Saturday January 28, 2012 in the Wayne County Care Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 A.M. Tuesday January 31, 2012 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 527 Beall Ave. Wooster, Ohio 44691 with Father Stephen Moran officiating. Burial will follow in Wooster Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
She was born January 25, 1934 in Jamestown New York the daughter of Rinaldo and Sebastiana A. ?Anna? Manera Lucchesi. On May 22, 1953 she married Gerard F. ?Jerry? deVaudreuil who survives.
Rena was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, the Escapee Club, The National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association, The NRA, and the Manatee Gun and Archery Club in Florida. She was an accomplished bowler, and muzzle loading shooter where she won many competitions. Rena and her brother were the only siblings to ever win the All Around Intramural Athletic Award at Jefferson Junior High School.
Also surviving is her daughter in law; Shirley deVaudreuil of Wooster, and a brother; Orest Lucchesi of Jamestown N.Y.
She was preceded in death by her parents. A son Gerard E. ? Jerry? deVaudreuil, a grandson; Kristopher deVaudreuil and a sister Nancy Paterniti.
