DORSET – Betsy Franks CHAMPLIN, 48, of Dorset and formerly of Wooster passed away Monday, February 20, 2012 in her home.
She was born May 26, 1963 in Wooster, the daughter of Harold Hal and Peggy Merriman Franks. She married Duane Champlin on November 3, 2008. He survives.
Betsy was a 1981 graduate of Wooster High School and had attended Kent State University. She had been an income tax agent for H & R Block for 20 years. She was a member of the Fellowship Redemption Church in Denmark, Ohio where she enjoyed playing the organ, a member of the Northern Ohio Outlaws Mounted Shooting Club and a long time member of the Wayne County Saddle Club. Betsy enjoyed animals, especially horses, cats and dogs..
Surviving in addition to her husband, are her parents of Wooster, a daughter, Courtney Olevnik of Erie, Pennsylvania; a brother, Scott (Mary) Franks and a niece, Carley Franks both of Wooster.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Friday evening, February 24, 2012 from 5-8:00 p.m.
Services will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Kevan Franklin officiating.
