Carl J. Braun, Jr., 76, of Wooster died Wednesday February 22, 2012 at his home.
He was born July 8, 1935 in Wooster son of Carl J. and Martha Palmer Braun, Sr. On August 13, 1955 he married Virginia Edgell, who survives.
Carl was a senior product engineer at Akron Brass for 41 years before retiring in 2007. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, the Elks and enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling. He was a caring and loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
In additions to his wife, Carl is survived by his children Deborah (Barry) Blough, Ronda (John) Braun-Gartner, Diane (Mark) Sparr and Catherine Kurtz all of Wooster; grandchildren T.J. (Katie) Phillips, Jennifer Phillips, Matthew and Taylor Sparr; great grandchildren A.J. and Calesa Phillips and Haylee Woodruff; a sister Delores Moats and brothers Fred and Dan Braun all of Wooster.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Paul, Raymond and Dave Braun.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday February 27 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Christopher Trenta as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday from 6:00- 8:00 P.M. at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St, Wooster.
