WOOSTER – Calvin E. Beery, Sr., 57, of Wooster passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 11, 2012 in the Cleveland Clinic with his wife Linda and family by his side. He now resides in Heaven with his Heavenly Father.
Calvin was born in Wadsworth on August 5, 1954 to Harold and Rhea (Domka) Beery. He married Linda Rogers on February 21, 1973 and they had just celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary.
Calvin worked for Wooster Motor Ways for 31 years as a driver and most recently in maintenance. Calvin also owned a small pallet business which he greatly enjoyed.
He was such a loving and generous man who will be so deeply missed by all who knew him. He was a loving husband and father and a very special pappy to his grandchildren. Calvin loved being outdoors, camping and traveling.
In addition to his loving wife, Linda, he is survived by his mother of Smithville and by his children, Calvin E. Jr. (Shaye) Beery of Wooster, Andy Beery of West Salem and Natalie (Todd) Rowe of Creston; his grandchildren, Bryce Beery, Colston and Logan Beery and Gavin and Gianna Rowe; his brothers Rog (Pat) Beery and John (Karen) Beery of Wooster, Norm (Audrey) Beery and Jeff (Anne) Beery of Smithville, Dean (Melody) Beery of Sterling and sisters Irene Barney of Olmsted Falls and Connie Bennett of Wooster.
He was preceded in death by his father on August 17, 2010 and his father and mother-in-law Volley and Anna Rogers.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Thursday evening from 5-8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
Services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, March 16, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. with Gary Maibach officiating. Burial will follow in the East Union Cemetery.
