WOOSTER – Jeanette M. Smith, 70, of Wooster died Saturday March 17, 2012 at Wayne County Care Center. She was born July 18, 1941 in Assonet, MA daughter of George B. and Frances C. Cambra Bott.
She operated the South Market Laundry Mat for 17 years. Jeanette loved country music and attending the Sheriff County Jamboree every year.
Jeanette is survived by her son George Smith, Jr., of Akron; a sister Liz Auseon of Foley, AL; an aunt Sadie Cambra of Fall River, MA; nephew, whom she raised like a son, Greg (Christina) Kauffman of Wooster and nieces Sarah Kauffman of Wooster, Rachel and Rebecca Beckholt and Katie (David) Murphy, Tammy (Keith) Sampson and Christina (Tim) Radcliff.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, husband George Smith and a sister Ethel Irene Kauffman.
A Service of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday March 22, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster with Rev. Christopher Trenta as celebrant. Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Contributions may be directed to the funeral home to help defray expenses.
