WEST SALEM – Melody D NEER, 64, of West Salem, completed her healing in process by entering the arms of the Lord on Sunday, April 29, 2012 surrounded by her loving family and church friends.
She was born April 12, 1948 in Cleveland, the daughter of Lester and Delores Nedela Gircsis. She married John Neer, Sr. on April 17, 1965. He survives.
She was a certified diamondologist for Ultra Gold and Diamond for 9 years retiring in 2006. She was an active member of the Emanuel Old Stone Church, participating in several Bible Study Groups, and especially enjoyed making crafts and treats for the children for every holiday.
Melody never knew a stranger and took every opportunity to share her sunny attitude with everyone she met.
Surviving in addition to her husband are her sons, John Jr. (Tina) Neer of Millersburg and Dave (Lisa) Neer of W. Salem; grandchildren, Casey, Ryan, Tori and Joshua Neer; a brother, Lee (Charlotte) Gircsis of Olmstead Twp., several nieces and nephews and many life long friends.
Melody was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Thomas John Neer and a brother Mike Gircsis.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 from 6-9:00 p.m.
Services will be held at Emanuel Old Stone Church, 6000 Congress Rd., Wooster on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with pastor Dan Bartkowiak officiating. Inurnment of ashes will be on Monday, May 7, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman.
