WOOSTER – Dorothy Martellis MORRIS, 85, of Wooster, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2012 in Rose Lane Health Center in Massillon.
She was born January 3, 1927 in Wooster, the daughter of Francis and Florence Martha Smathers Sargeant. She married Maywood W. Morris on May 10, 1947. He preceded.
She was a homemaker who loved playing cards, dancing and traveling.
Surviving are her daughters Judy (Larry) Jacquet of Fredericksburg and Carol Root of Wooster; grandchildren, Trevor (Emily) Morris, Lora (Chris) Donley, Tiffany (Greg) Oldaker, Matt (Pat) Jacquet, Adam (Stephanie) Chenevey, Matthew (Jayme) Chenevey; great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Addie, Grace, Megan, Katelyn, Abbey, Samantha, Elliot, Gabriel, Alexandria, Colton, Tyler and Amy; great-great-grandson, Jacob; a brother, Jack Sargeant of Wooster and sisters, Janice Batdorf of Massillon and Mary Reagan of Georgia..
In addition to her husband Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, a son David W. Morris on May 8, 2003, a grandson, Joseph Chenevey and brothers Bob, Frank and Bill Sargeant.
There will be no services or calling hours.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
