WOOSTER – Hubert V FAIR, 86, of Wooster, passed away Saturday, May 19, 2012 at his home.
He was born July 7, 1925 in Wayne County, son of Vernon and Beulah Ickes Fair. He married Wanda L. Kaufman on October 11, 1945. She died on June 10, 2010.
Hubert retired from Western Southern Insurance Co. after over 20 years of service. He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in New Pittsburg and had served his country with the U.S. Navy during WWII.
Surviving are sons, Timothy A (Amy) Fair of Wooster and Michael V. (Victoria) Fair of Boston, Massachusetts; grandchildren, Scott (Pamela) Fair of Columbus, Nicole (Bill) Maddocks of Colorado, Christopher (Holly) Fair of Jeromesville, Anastasia (Jeremy) Wilkinson of Virginia; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Ryan Fair, Hailey and Zoe Maddocks and Andrew and Reagan Wilkinson and a sister, Mildred Fisher of Loudonville.
In addition to his wife, Hubert was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Roger Fair.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster one hour prior to the 11:00 a.m. service on Thursday, May 24, 2012 with the Rev. Paul Thoms officiating. Burial will follow in the Reedsburg Cemetery.
