WOOSTER – Richard Charles CAIRA, 53, of Wooster, passed away Friday, June 1, 2012 at Wooster Community Hospital.
He was born September 18, 1958 in Warren, Michigan, son of Roland and Mary Contracere Caira. He married Betty Hale on May 24, 1980. She survives.
He was a cement truck driver for Orrville Trucking and Grading and a member of the West Hill Baptist Church. He served his country with the US Army.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his step-father, Fred Robinette of Lakeland, FL, sons, Roland and Jonathan Caira both of Wooster; brothers-in-law, Richard (Neda) Hale of Anchorage, Alaska and Bruce Spanky (Ginger) Hale of Mansfield, uncle and aunt Dan and Betty Maritz of Mansfield who were like parents to Richard and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Roland Michael Caira and a brother-in-law, John Hale.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Thursday, June 7 from 2-4:00 p.m. and 6-8:00 p.m.
Services will be held at West Hill Baptist Church, 2241 Mechanicsburg Rd., Wooster on Friday, June 8, at 12:00 noon with the Rev. Mark Davenport officiating. Interment will be on Monday, June 11 at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman at 11:30 a.m. Those wishing to go to the cemetery should meet at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m.
