It is with grieving hearts that the family of Whitney Yoder Lowe, 26, of Wooster must advise the community and its many helpful, encouraging friends of the passing of our beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece and cousin on June 8, 2012 at Wooster Community Hospital. A celebration of Whitney ™s life will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday June 12 at Zion Lutheran Church, 301 N. Market St, Wooster with Rev. Eric Fairhurst officiating. Interment will follow at Wooster Cemetery. McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family; and friends may call at the funeral home between the hours of 5-9 P.M. on Monday June 11. Those who wish may contribute in Whitney ™s memory to Hospice and Palliative Care of Greater Wayne County, 2525 Back Orrville Rd., Wooster, OH, 44691 or the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation, P. O. Box 204, Norwood, NJ 07648.
Whitney was born in Wooster on October 12, 1985, to Jeffrey Lowe and Sandra and Philip Kline. Whitney was a member of the 2004 class of Wooster High School. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Wooster.
Whitney graduated in May 2009 from Muskingum University with a degree in Sociology and Child and Family Studies, but her promising career was cut short with the diagnosis of Triple Negative breast cancer in October 2010.
She is survived by her loving and devoted parents; by her maternal grandparents R. Richard and Sally Yoder; paternal grandparents Jeanie Lowe and David and Marceal Lowe; grandmother Phyllis Kline; her sister and brother Kelsey Elizabeth Kline and Philip Joseph Kline; aunts and uncles Randy and Sandra Yoder, Wendy Raus, Jody and Larry Merrix, and David and Karen Cowan; and further survived by several cousins and special friends Deveri and Rich Moore and Sandie Ullery, and the Tom and Joyce Barker Family. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather Robert C. Kline.
œI beg of you, do not forget me when the phenomenon of death visits me. Keep my memory alive. For if you forget me, only then will I have surely died.
The family wishes to express sincere gratitude to those who shared in Whitney ™s illness, who understood her pain, who prayed with her and gave her strength for each aching step, who consoled us as a family and walked with us, providing food and other aid as we faced this unthinkable loss – especially our patient and understanding employers Wooster City Schools, The Prentke Romich Company, and Carlton and Graham Retail Construction Company, the Hospice professionals and Dr. Paul Masci.
