WOOSTER – Daniel James Jim POUK, 60, of Wooster, passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2012 in the Brenn-Field Nursing Center in Orrville. He was born October 31, 1951 in Streator, IL. He married Debbie Howman on November 25, 1978. She survives. Debbie was a devoted wife and the love of his life. He had worked at Crown Steel and Regal Ware. Jim loved model railroad trains. He was a very happy jolly man who enjoyed going to the lakes and rivers where he found peace. He had a love of animals especially Pokey, his late dog. Surviving in addition to his wife are his mother & father-in-law, Vernon (Phyllis) Rafferty of Wooster, sister-in-law, Beth (Ronald) Winebrenner of Shreve, brother-in-law, Tony (Michele) Howman of Orrville; nieces and nephews, Alicia and Krista Winebrenner, Nathaniel, Ashlee and Hayden Howman; a family friend Charles Deville and foster family, Rex and Zandra Mairs. Daniel was preceded in death by his foster family, Lowell and Lena Mairs and Delores Dee Swysgood-Deeble. There will be no calling hours. Private family services will be held. McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family. Contributions may be made to the funeral home to help defray expenses or to People to People Ministries, 454 E. Bowman St., Wooster, OH 44691.
