WOOSTER Glen Torrence, 70, of Wooster passed away, Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at Wooster Community Hospital. He was born January 17, 1942 in Hartford, Kentucky, the son of George Jake and Pernie Burden Torrence. He married Virginia Ginny Miller on November 19, 1988. She survives. He was a self-employed truck driver for over 40 years. Glen loved fishing and mowing his yard and spending time with his grandchildren. Surviving in addition to his wife are his children Brian Loy (Crystal) Torrence of Shreve, Lucinda Joy Campbell of Fredericksburg, Jacqueline Sue (Richard) Smith of Orrville and Luanne Reynee (William) Planisek of Wooster; grandchildren, Samantha Humphrey, Rianna Thomas, Jessica Friddle, Justin Torrence, Nicholas Smith, Chandler Planisek, Jacob Smith and Vicki Schmidt; great-grandchildren Kadence Friddle, Liam Thomas and Matthew Pinkley. His siblings Joyce Bair of Logan, Frank Torrence and Boots Cox both of Wooster and Oscar Torrence of Shreve. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Roger Torrence and step-children Richard and Kerri Hall. There will be no calling hours or services. McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
