Wooster – Marian Reese Chatlain died September 12, 2012 at West View Manor after 89 years full of life. She was born in Mansfield, OH., the daughter of the late Clarence Reese and Evelyn Caine. She and her late husband David W. Chatlain were married on May 28, 1946, and shared over 64 years of marriage together. Marian was a graduate of Mansfield Senior High School, and an active, compassionate member of the Wooster community. She was a Charter Member and past President of the Auxiliary at Wooster Community Hospital where she took pride in volunteering for 51 years. Active until the end, she also enjoyed her involvement with The Methodist Church, Mother’s Club, Garden Club, and bridge groups, forging friendships that spanned decades. Marian was full of love, empathy, and kindness for her family and others, with a special place in her heart for stray animals. Surviving are her brother Duane (Etabel) Reese of Atlanta, GA. Also her children, David R. (Ann) Chatlain of Wichita, KS, Christine (Dwight)Miller of Kent, Nancy Chatlain Schneider of Cincinnati, and Jill (James)Roberts of Atlanta, GA. and nine grandchildren. Friends will be received Monday, September 17th, 2012 at 11:30 a McIntire, Bradham and Sleek Funeral Home, 216 East Larwill St., Wooster. Services will follow at 12:30 with Pastor and friend Eric Fairhurst officiating. Memorial donations can be made in Marian’s honor to the Wooster Community Hospital Auxiliary Fund, %Volunteer Services, 1761Beall Ave., Wooster.
