Barbara E Grande Swartz, 83, of Wooster, passed away October 4, 2012 in Wooster Community Hospital. She was born June 20, 1929 in Wooster, daughter of P. Harold and Mary Cecil Kauffman Conkle. On August 20, 1949, Barbara married Dominic A. Grande, who preceded her in death on December 4, 1965. She was a homemaker and in 1995 retired from the Wayne Co. Auditors Office as a computer operator after many years. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. Surviving are son, Daniel A. Grande, daughter, Deborah A. Harsh both of Wooster, son, Ronald L. Grande of Simpsonville, SC and son, Robert A. Grande of Smithville; 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren.   Along with her husband, Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson; a sister, Ruth Laurene Yund; her twin brother, Walter Zeke Conkle and brothers, Robert and Clifford Conkle. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday October 9, 2012 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church, Wooster with Father Christopher Trenta officiating . Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Monday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.
