WOOSTER – Kathryn Driscoll Malgieri, 61, passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at West View Manor Nursing Home.   She was born April 4, 1951 to Daniel and Anne Driscoll in New York, NY. She resided in Wooster since 1979 and was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She graduated from St. Vincent College in New York and earned masters degrees from Ashland University and Case Western Reserve University. Throughout her life she served as an educator, counselor, a community volunteer and was an active parishioner of St. Mary’s Church in Wooster. She was an avid traveler, outdoorswoman and was regularly seen taking her evening walks throughout Wooster. Throughout her life she wore many different hats, from soccer mom to board member but perhaps the one she was most proud of was that of a mother to her four children, Kate, Jack, Peter & Robert. Her life was full and left an impact on all those she touched. Her faith, grace, humor and courage are seen today in the children, family and friends who survive her. Surviving are her children; Kathleen Malgieri of Philadelphia, Jack (Erika) Malgieri of Hoboken, Peter (Amanda) Malgieri of Tyson’s, and Robert Malgieri of Arlington; four siblings; Anne (Tom) Hoar, Eileen (Phil) McNally, Margie (Rolf) Naku, and Daniel (Liz) Driscoll; two grandchildren and 16 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Calling hours will be held at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Friday, October 19, 2012 ,from 6:00 – 8:00pm. A funeral service has been scheduled for Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 10:00am at St. Mary’s Church, 527 Beall Ave., Wooster.   In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made in her name to the Polycystic Kidney Foundation, 8330 Ward Parkway, Suite 10, Kansas City, MO 64114-2027 (pkdcure.org), Wayne County Hospice & Palliative Care, 2525 Back Orrville Rd., Wooster, OH 44691, West View Manor, 1715 Mechanicsburg Rd., Wooster, OH 44691 and St. Mary’s Church, PO Box 109, Wooster, OH 44691
