WOOSTER – Walter F FOLTZ, 86, of Wooster, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2012 in his home. He was born March 4, 1926 in Shreve, the son of Fred W and Edith Kreger Foltz. He married Garnet Romick on April 11, 1948. She survives. He had been an auto mechanic for Harry Bernstein and Butler’s Garage for many years and then worked for U.S. Post Office in Wooster for 3 years and then for Wooster Brush where he retired in 1991. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Moreland United Methodist Church. Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, Lenard (Meg) Foltz of Homerville and Wendi (Andy) Flickinger of Wooster; a grandson, Lucas Foltz, step-grandchildren, Drue, Chris & Marc Flickinger, 6 great-grandchildren and a sister, Alberta (Dick) Jones of Wooster. Walter was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Libby Childers. Friends will be received 1 hour prior to the 7:00 p.m. memorial service at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Monday, October 29, 2012 with the Rev. Tom Fish officiating. Private family burial will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery, Shreve.
