Katherine F. Myers, 99, of Wooster passed away Saturday November 17, 2012 at her home. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at the Wooster First Church of God, 1953 Akron Rd. Wooster, Ohio 44691 with Rev. Arnie Kaufman officiating. Entombment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Tuesday November 20, 2012 at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home 216 E. Larwill St. Wooster, Ohio 44691. Katherine was born on September 5, 1913 in Plain Township of Wayne County the daughter of John S. and Anna Sherrick Bahl. On November 15, 1937 she married her husband of 67 years George Myers who preceded her in death in 2004. Katherine was a homemaker and along with her husband farmed for many years. She was a member of the Wooster First Church of God where she was active in many church activities including teaching and being the pianist for the children ™s Sunday School. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and crocheting. When Haiti was struck with an earthquake in 2010 she and her church sewing circle were instrumental in making draw string back packs for the Haitian children. She also made and donated many of her crafts to area nursing homes and to Boys Village in Wooster. She is survived by a daughter in law Elaine Myers of Indiana PA. Grandchildren: Todd (Holly) Myers of Indiana PA, Stephanie (Lamont) Cooke of Lancaster PA, Melissa (Dave) Stone, of Denver Colorado and Christine (Scott) Graham of Pittsburgh PA. Great Grandchildren: Isaac and Ella Myers and Andrew Cooke. In addition to her husband Katherine was preceded in death by her parents, a son James Myers in 2007.
