WOOSTER – Chester Tim HAMILTON, 89, of Wooster, passed away Sunday, November 25, 2012 Majora Lane Nursing Home in Millersburg. He was born February 19, 1923 in Akron, the son of Edward and Helen Boyles Hamilton. He married Donna J. Worst on August 10, 1944. She died October 11, 2012. He retired from the safety division of United Telephone in 1983 after 30 years. He was a member of the Akron Road First Church of God, a member of the American Legion and was a very active member of the International Order of Odd Fellows and was a co-founder of the Wayne Co. REACT group. Tim loved fishing, woodworking, spending time at Tappan Lake and traveling to Canada. He served his country with the U.S. Army Air Corps. Surviving are his children, Ron Hamilton of Shreve, Cheryl (David) Saylor of Dover and Roger (Kim Justice) Hamilton of Shreve; grandchildren, Mitch and Mallory Hamilton and Tim and Bethany Saylor. In addition to his wife, Tim was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Edward, Robert and William Hamilton. Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Wednesday evening, November 28, 2012 from 6-8:00 p.m. Services will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Arnie Kauffman officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Those who wish may make contributions to a charity of the donor’s choice.
