Bonnie L. Palmer, 75, of Wooster died Friday December 7, 2012 at her home. She was born September 8, 1937 in Wooster, daughter of Harlan and Betty Walker Withrow. On June 21, 1959, she married Gary Palmer. He survives. Bonnie retired from the YMCA in 2011 after 30 years working in childcare and at the front desk. She also worked at a receptionist at Rubbermaid. Bonnie was a life member of First Church of God where she served as a deaconess, Sunday School teacher and worked in the nursery. Along with her husband, Bonnie is survived by her children Jennifer (Eric) Steinman of Wooster and Steven (Jennifer) Palmer of Leesburg, GA; grandchildren Ericia, Cameron, Ryan, Ben, McKaylee, Gabby, Elise and Oliver; great grandson Jayden; brother Neal Withrow of Summerfield, FL and a sister Rebecca Carnahan of Spring, TX. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Dick and a grandson Seth. Services will be held on Tuesday December 11 at 1:00 P.M. at the First Church of God, 1953 Akron Rd., Wooster with Rev. Arnie Kaufman officiating. Interment will follow in Wooster Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church. Contributions may be directed to Hospice and Palliative Care of Greater Wayne County, 2525 Back Orrville Rd, Wooster, OH 44691. McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
